Pink bow

There once was a girl from Timbuckmow
All of her blue, except her big toe
She woke in the night
Shivering with fright
To discover that her big toe had a pink bow

Limericks really have to be very witty, and this one is just nonsensical. For a nonsense poem it's fine, but for anything else it just sounds silly. It would be a good one to read aloud to young kids, though - they'd find it really funny. The last line has two too many syllables, and that should be changed regardless of whether it's meant to be just for fun (I'm quite sure it is) or not.

um. . .either this poem has some deep (very deep) meaning or I'm stupid.
No offense, this poem sounds like something a third grader wrote when his teacher said "write a poem with five lines." It is nonsence, but not particularly funny nonsence. I know I sound like Incandescence here, but its probably better to scratch this.

For a short space of time I remained at the window watching the pallid lightnings that played above Mont Blanc and listening to the rushing of the Arve, which pursued its noise way beneath. The same lulling sounds acted as a lullaby to my too keen sensations; when I placed my head upon my pillow, sleep crept over me; I felt it as it came and blessed the giver of oblivion.
